Has anyone had / cured tinea versicolor?
I have a point of tinea versicolor on the back. (It is a fungal infection that causes the stain of skin lose their pigmentation). I tried to treat dandruff shampoo selenium sulfide, but does not seem to have any effect on it. My doctor ordered Nizoral (ketoconazole) pills to try to treat it by mouth – however, Nizoral has a lot of side effects and you have to sweat when you takes to get the medicine for your skin. So I'm a little worried about starting the treatment Nizoral. However, I would get rid of this before it gets my summer tan because tanning actually does appear (from the patch of skin does not tan). Has anyone had this? Did you cure that? How do you cure? If you took Nizoral, have you had any side effects, and does not work? Thanks!
Selsun Blue: staining in the affected area, let it dry and sleep in it. Wash away in the morning shower. 2-3 sessions should.
