Sounds like if I have psoriasis?

My dad and older brother both have it. I'll be 16 soon. About three months ago, I noticed a little raised, irregularly shaped bright red bundle / patch near the inside of my thigh on my panty line. My underwear is sometimes rubbed when walking and was uncomfortable. I it was an ingrown hair at first. but recently, it is dry, it is lower, and is flesh colored, but it seems flaky. There may be a sexually transmitted disease, I have never done anything. In addition, I have not said a doctor, however, because it is embarrassing and I do not want my mom or to think it is a sexually transmitted disease sexual. (I mentioned this to my mom and she said ingrown hair) When I did research ingrown hair, I found most of them were circles (Mine is irregular and long) would also, I tried to "cure" like an ingrown hair (hot washcloth on it for ten minutes until the hair rises to the surface ect ect) but I've never seen a hair under my skin. Help please!

Do an Internet search by typing in psoriasis, and look at photos, which may help. Meanwhile, put anti-bacterial cream newspapers on the ground and cover with bandage. It will not hurt, and may give the area an opportunity to healing even when an ingrown hair can not show, but with the above treatment could cure it yet.
