
How is Gall Bladder infections treated?
I have to go to an x-ray tomorrow, the doctors think I have an infection of the gallbladder – just want to know what I do. I read about it on the net, but there is only surgery or drugs that can also be solved?
A course of antibiotics may be used if the gallbladder can get. Some people need antibiotics intravenously and therefore must be in the hospital. If there are gallstones in the ducts, but can not be seen on x-ray … some drugs may work to dissolve the stone. If calculations can be seen on the radiograph, the calculations can not be dissolved. You may have an infection without stones, but usually includes many symptoms such as jaundice; fever, back pain, abdominal pain on the right side below the ribs and possible pain between the shoulder blades and dark urine. This can be treated with medication pak HP. You can try a low fat diet and avoiding carbonated beverages, alcohol, caffeine, chocolate, mint, nicotine, having a healthy weight, do not lie down for about 2-3 hours after eating. If you still have a lot of pain, I would suggest getting your gallbladder removed. If they say they need an ERCP test, ask what chances of getting pancreatitis. (Go to a surgeon who specializes in this procedure.) I had my gallbladder removed laproscopically … -1-inch incisions 4 (1 on your belly button) and return home the same day. I just used Tylenol Extra Strength Rapid Release Capsules for pain. It took 2-3 days to feel well. However, I did the weight gain at some point after surgery and only found out what was common to find by chance a vesicle biliary forum. Therefore, I ask my MD about it. I have mine removed because they had heard of people waiting and needed emergency surgery is too long. (I had an ultrasound that showed numerous stones).
