Dog Skin Condition …?
I have 3 years old fawn a pitbull who has never had allergies or skin diseases, is in good health … She has developed small scabs all over his skin, under his coat … not scratch or bite and seems to bother … but when I look at pulling skin your hair in the opposite direction, I can see the crust, as if poxs chicken and then scabbed over .. crusts are not bad at all there is no pus or anything like that … seems soft … She is losing hair in any all either … Any idea what that is? Thanks
Definitely needs a trip to the vet. Things appear in my mind is a staph infection (usually starts due to some type of allergy bacteria then move into the cause of pustules) scabies (two different), ringworm, generally poor nutrition, fleas … Only your veterinarian can tell you for sure, and prescribe treatment.
