What foods increase a man of estrogen and female hormones? I heard soy milk has lots of female hormones, and?
I'm not sure whether the cow's milk has a lot of female hormones in it. Do all products containing soy have a high amount of female hormones in them? What what other food / drink have many female hormones and anti-androgens in them? Um, Rick, what do you mean Eath??
Good question but I do not think there's a simple answer. There are plenty of food sources of phytoestrogens, plus soy, phytoestrogens are also found in certain fruits (ie naringenin in citrus fruits like grapefruit) and flaxseed (linseed and soybean but seem to have the largest amounts of phytoestrogens). Contrary to certain products such as soy, soy protein powder, many soy products to have low amounts (which serves as filler in a lot of sandwiches). Phytoestrogens seem to bind to certain tissues and sometimes compete with other estrogens, which, alternatively, may produce estrogenic effects (ie, relief of menopausal symptoms as hot flashes in women) or can reduce estrogenic effects compared with estradiol. However, it is also possible that can reduce testosterone production in men, since estrogen is a source of negative feedback (indicating the source to reduce production) the HPTA. Some people do when equol to digest soy products. Equol may prevent a product of testosterone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT) to exert their effects (in the prostate, in particular, but worth considering if you reduce the activity of DHT elsewhere). This * might * reduce the effects of testosterone on the maintenance exercises male characteristics if you prevent DHT binding in other places. In addition, lignans (phytoestrogens flaxseed) may interfere with the binding of DHT and, although the only source that can be found at the time shows lignans interfere with the DHT binding to SHBG, no target tissues. phytoestrogens may have estrogenic effects (positive or negative) without increasing blood levels of estrogen.
