We talked about a few prescription drugs are given to help various side effects of PCOS, and we will continue to examine more medications that are commonly used. However, there is another side to treat / control your PCOS through natural remedies (herbal supplements).

As I mentioned in my last post, no There is no cure for PCOS … yet. There are many ways to treat and control the affected part. Below I will list the most common complaints of this syndrome and as some natural remedies that can help.

Hormonal imbalance

  • Vitex (Chasteberry) – This is an herb well known that has been used for centuries for hormonal imbalances in women. It is also one of the most important herbs for PCOS because it helps stimulate and stabilize the function of the pituitary gland that controls the release of LH (luteinizing hormone). The ability of chaste tree berry to raise progesterone levels in the body is an indirect effect, so the herb itself is not a hormone. Vitex is NOT recommended for those currently undergoing infertility treatment. Taking it with infertility drugs may increase the effects of IF drugs. This herb also can alter the effects of oral contraceptives, so it is not recommended if you are using any birth control
  • the root of the dandelion – A great liver tonic! This helps to cleanse the liver and eliminate the buildup and toxins that accumulate. Many menstrual problems / infertility problems are compounded by the extra hormones that tend to "turn up "in your liver. Dandelion root helps keep your liver functioning properly which will help rid your body of all the excess" crap "It is not necessary. It can also help control and prevent the NASLD.
  • Milk Thistle – A key herb for the liver, which is so important for the treatment of PCOS. Milk Thistle helps cells against liver damage, and promotes healing of damaged cells. This improves overall performance of liver (extremely beneficial in the control or prevention of NASLD)
