How is a pyogenic infection diagnosed?
A pyogenic infection only means that it is an infection of the production pus-. So, to diagnose any infection, you could get the pus and sent to the laboratory for culture to see what organisms grow during cultivation. In addition, for example, if your doctor thinks you might be a kidney infection, you could send a clean urine sample for culture. If the doctor thought that the bacteria can be found in the blood, he / she could take a little blood from you and send it off for culture. Then there are other investigations, eg chest x-ray where you can see a shadow on the chest radiograph suggestive of chest infection. And so on.
