Skin infection antibiotics

Skin infection antibiotics
I have one year old Dachshund 5 with peeling skin. His coat is smooth and shiny. Ideas?

She had a skin infection that requires antibiotics to heal, a few years ago. I have given sulfur shampoos, but the dandruff is still there. She is also itching. She eats Purina One Lamb & Rice- with occasional "treats" (Snausages, etc.) Do not add oil to your diet, and that led to diarea when I did. Note, sulfur shampoo came with the idea that could cure the problem, not used as a normal shampoo.

Sounds like she has plenty of protein in his coat to make it soft and shiny. I suggest you try a rinse of iodine, is a bit smelly but it's great, or other brands of antiseptic as Malaseb shampoo (not to be confused with Malaban!) May otherwise be your diet, a lot of dogs react badly to the pork and this can really show through your skin. Look at your diet, stay away from canned or cooked foods and fresh raw meat (like chicken, lamb and roo) is the best way to keep your dog happy and healthy. Hope this helps! :)
