Anyone who had a child with very dry skin about a week after a fever?
My daughter had a really high fever (almost 104) for about a week, then after about six days, the skin was really dry scaly skin at the abdomen, back and upper legs. Anyone that had a similar experience? Yes, I took her to urgent care, no ear infection or pneumonia or strep.
That "Dry" peeling of the skin is called scaling. It seems she may have had a toxin from a species with a fever. Skin had a child after a serious attack scarlet fever (which I think is called "strep with a rash" now.) My doctor used to call things as a virus with a rash. I that children can peel occasion after measles (not sure where I read that, but I think it's possible.) On the other hand if she was sick and had no bath for several days, could be the shedding of dead skin portions at one time. I consider it a disease and the concern is not resolved.
