How do I cure my dog's rash?
I have a 5 year old border collie named Lucky. He has been plagued by a terrible eruption in the skin during the time we had. We took him to the vet but it does not help. It's a dog outside. And he's not losing his hair or anything. When you give it a bath good for a couple of days. So if you pick up the hair, you can see a scaly red rash and sometimes even have some ozzing or pus. The vet recommended only a shampoo and the food it sells. It is expensive and does not work. My mom bathing with vinegar to help with the stench. Does anyone have any suggestions? Please, I appreciate any help that can treat and cure this.
If that is the best for your vet can do I would seriously consider changing your veterinarian. You need to get to the bottom of what has allergic. Fleas? Environmental or food? I guess if you dog has oozing sores that then probably, vinegar stings like crazy! Try some aloe vera for the worst of the pain and please put it to a different vet.
