concerned about the wisdom … the teeth of my surgery?
I had three wisdom teeth removed, they were all soft tissue EMPACT. Surgery was fast, but I had to have somewhere between six and 10 shots. Is it normal for my cheeks to be swollen around where the needles were inserted? It has been 3 days, and swelling at the bottom stitch is scaring me. Is it normal for the swelling peak at 3 days? Also, I'm having a feeling stranger on the outside of the right cheek and all the way to my ear. My skin is sensitive and painful to touch, and although I've been swishing with salt water twice a day and brushing, I worry that I have a wound infection. Can you smell very bad infection? What other signs could be seen?
Infections smell, and that is the most obvious sign. They also seem quite nasty, and if pus is bad taste. However, it's only been three days … Right? I was swollen by 8, and it was fine. Nothing went wrong. Your skin is senstive because they simply went through a brutal beating! Let it go for another 3 days and then see how are doing.
