Help! Michael Jackson disease?!?
Today I realized a bit (smaller than a dime) patch of lighter colored skin one of my arms. I'm pretty sure that there is a scar – no injuries were reported there recently. I wondered if I could have vitiligo disease (Michael Jackson) or some other skin disease? There is no redness or itching, is not completely white, only slightly paler than the surrounding skin (think brown patch in a sea cocoa) … I know it would be best to see a dermatologist, but since I am currently without health insurance, just wanted to see what we all think …
Vitiligo melanin eliminates everything in the sector, not make it lighter. It would be the icing sugar in a sea of cocoa! I just lotion up well for a while. Could be the beginning of dry, itchy skin in patches. By the way, Michael Jackson has vitiligo. He is now still rare.
